Welcome to Four Paws Club
Hi there! My name is Meg, and I am the human behind Four Paws Club. I have always been a dog lover with a passion for the great outdoors, so combining the two has been a dream come true!
I cover Burgess Hill and Hassocks, offering fun and social group dog walks. I offer a free meet and greet service to get to know you and your dog, offering the perfect opportunity for you to get to know me too. I am fully insured and have regular DBS checks. I am also trained in Canine Body Language and Canine First Aid.
I will always take your dog on a solo walk to build a relationship with them before introducing them into a group walk. For some dogs this will only take one walk, for others it might take a little longer; my approach is to always go at the dog's pace.
I love to have variety with different walks daily to give the dogs a range of stimulation, mixing it up with field walks and woodland strolls. Even if we go to the same place, we will walk a different route so the dogs get different sights, sounds, and sniffs each time.
I feel incredibly grateful to call this my job (even in the wind and rain!) and would love to hear from you. If you would like any further information or wish to make an enquiry, please use the contact form below.

Dog Walking Services
I offer group dog walks for socialisation, ensuring your furry friends have fun, as well as physical exercise and mental stimulation!
The Logistics
My group walk service includes pick up, a super fun hour long walk, and drop off back home again for a well earnt nap! Group walks are £15.

Mental Stimulation
On our walks we spend time doing mental enrichment activities such as treat finding or sit and stay practice. This engages the brain to focus so that walks are balanced and stimulating.
Group walks are incredibly beneficial for dogs as they are such social animals. A dedicated walk where they can play with their pals is brilliant for their ongoing wellbeing!

Testimonials
Megan walks our two dogs three times a week and I cannot recommend Four Paws Club highly enough. We always get an update about their exploits on the walk and some photos on WhatsApp which is a very nice touch and the dogs absolutely love their walks. If you're in this area and are looking for a dog walker then look no further!
Meg is an absolute star! She is so passionate at what she does and is enthusiastic and engaging with our dog come rain or shine! Every walk we get a few pictures come through and a summary of the walk which is really nice and is a lovely personal touch! Our lurcher absolutely adores her and always comes back thoroughly exercised and stimulated, it's done her wonders. Couldn't recommend Meg & Four Paws Club enough!

So glad we found Four Paws Club! Charlie absolutely loves his weekly group walk and comes back a very happy dog. We get amazing pics too! I would not hesitate to recommend Megan!
Meg walks our Cockapoo every week. She had a fab onboarding, meeting with Honey and building up from 1:1 walk to running with the pack every week. It's great exercise and enrichment for Honey and we love the updates and photos from every walk! We've also been able to book in short term walks when we have needed. Whole heartedly recommend!

Frequently asked questions
How much do you charge?
Group walks are £15 per dog.
How do you transport the dogs?
I have a trusty air-conditioned van for doggy transportation and have invested in crash-tested crates to ensure maximum safety. There is also one space for those who don't like crates. If your dog is not used to a crate, we take it slowly and do some training around getting in/out of the crate safely and calmly, as well as feeling comfortable in there too.
What is your onboarding process?
Firstly we arrange a free of charge meet and greet, usually at your house. This is so you can show me access points and where your dog's things are kept should you be out. We would then go for a short walk on foot, preferably somewhere they can go off-lead, so I can see how your dog acts out in 'the wild' as it were.
Following this, we arrange a one-to-one walk for me and your pooch so I can assess their behaviours and start building up a relationship. Depending on how this goes, I would either suggest a group to introduce them to, or schedule further solo walks - I always go at the dog's pace and won't put them into a group until I am confident in their suitability.
After this, we then do roughly 3-4 trial walks to ensure the group is the right fit and if necessary I will change the group until this is the case. And that's that - your dog is now a fully fledged member of the Four Paws Club!
What do you do in the event of extreme weather? (e.g. heatwaves, thunderstorms, etc.)
We head out in all kinds of weather, rain or shine! But for when it is particularly bad walks will of course be amended to suit the situation, at no cost to you.
For example, we won't walk in a thunderstorm due to the risk of sudden thunder spooking the dogs, or general risk of lightening. Snow is fine as long as driving conditions aren't effected; the dogs usually love it when it's frosty! In the heat, I either move walks earlier, shorten walks, or cancel altogether. I also stick to the woods and water, have water breaks, and make sure no one is doing too much running around. If walks are moved earlier and your dog will be left alone for too long, I offer a free of charge drop in later in the day. This will include a toilet break, play and/or mental stimulation games, and of course cuddles!
Any changes made will be communicated to you as soon as is reasonably possible.
What happens if my dog gets muddy?
My mantra is that a muddy dog is a happy dog! I ask all owners to provide me with a towel that I can take with me, as all dogs get a clean up before heading home. They will not come home spotless, so I also ask if there is somewhere secure that I can leave them for anyone that will be out.
